I know a lot of people don't like spending a lot of time on sites like these, but honestly, I only spend on average 3 waking hours a day in my room. That average is likely to increase soon, but I'll be doing homework and studying rather than surfing the net. So please, humor me and check back here instead of asking others about me or sending me emails. I had 20 in one of my accounts yesterday, and 10 so far this morning. I can't answer all those questions of "how ya been" without spending hours. That said, I will answer that question - I have been ok. Socially things are ever shifting but I like my life like that so I'm not complaining. I have the most awesome group of friends and I love hanging with them. Last night most of us went to the block party on Main Street. Um...it stunk. Bad. The first band in the battle of the bands was so bad we didn't even bother waiting 20 minutes to hear the next group. Not sure what we're doing tonight yet. Might be going out to wal-mart again. Things are perfect with my friends, but like I said, I'm not complaining. At least I have friends. I was wondering if I'd be the kind of person who just stayed in their dorm room all day playing games. But nope, I'm out running around and doing my part to fend of the infamous Freshman 15. And yes, they really do serve pizza and tacos every day in the cafe. Which leads me to Kyo's Observations. I've noticed that with most of my friends we have something in common. Most of us spends very little time in our dorm - most of that time being spent trying to get some sleep. Our roomie's however, rarely, or even never leave the dorm unless it's to go to class. I mean, I suppose they eat sometime but they almost never eat with us. It's kinda funny in a sad sort of way. Anyway, on to the academics. I love my music class, I know I'm going to enjoy it as long as I take notes and keep on top of my reading. My English 101 class will be a challenge, and there's a lot of work to do for that class and my proffessor's kinda....boring. My English 150 class is cool, we get to read more mordern works that look really cool. I can't wait to read Maus. My Orie class...eh...it'll be alright. It's mostly just kinda boring and stuff, but the proffessor is cool-ish. History is going to kill me. It's like 11th grade all over again - same dry, annoying drone that fills the air and begs you to fall asleep. Good news is - the subject matter is on my favorite time periods, pre-WW I to present. And Philosophy is crowded to the max, one of my friends roomie's is in there but it looks interesting. Especially some of the stuff we're going to be talking about. Guess that's about it - I finished my homework like a good girl and now I'm gonna see about rounding the gang together and raiding the salad bar at Chesapeak 'cause if I see another slice of pizza I will seriously hurl. If you know my email, feel free to continue emailing me, just don't expect a responce, I will be answering all questions on here from now on. Later. |
